Marc has been involved in theatre for over 35 years in many aspects from set design and construction, to the stage direction of shows such as Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, and Mary Poppins.

He has worked professionally in theatre with Auckland Opera, and in the last 25 years Marc has worked for local societies and schools designing and building sets, as well as putting his hand to most other aspects of theatre.

In recent years Marc has been nationally renowned for his set design, with highlights including Bad Girls (2010), Chicago (2012), Evita (2015), and Blood Brothers (2017) – the later of which included a fully routered cobblestone street, detailing going beyond even that of London’s West End production.

Marc served as President of Napier Operatic Society from 2012 – 2016 and was made a Life Member in 2022.
